warning

watchers, workers
everywhere
cry: toe the line!
and don’t you dare:

break unwritten
meeting rules,
and tarnish priceless
kingdom jewels

no. listen up:
hear! hear! they say
stick with the truth
don’t lose your way

the world out there
may seem appealing
but trust us brother,
you’re better kneeling,

bowing, scraping,
obeying orders
not leaving safe
convention borders

and if you’re tempted
by the flesh
you’ll end up in
a sinful mess

a deep, dark, dank,
eternal hole
full of screaming
tortured souls

when satan beckons,
ignore his call
choose instead
to be our thrall

we have all that is
sacred cornered
to slay the evil
devils horn-ed

and heaven’s keys
are in our hands
so don’t leave us for
some hellish land
