Too Cute For Words

As children, we tell stories, practice magic and deploy the power of our imagination naturally. We don’t think about it.  We just do it.

We easily weave grand tales of heroes and monsters in which fantasy and reality become wonderfully blurred. We have no inhibitions. Our creativity knows no bounds. Anything (and everything!), is possible.

Sadly, as we “grow up” that delightful capacity to “make believe” is ground, beaten or dragged out of many of us. And as we grow older, we leave the magical world of possibility behind.

Our creativity lies dormant in a box, on a shelf, locked in a closest somewhere, hidden from our hearts and minds for years at a stretch. Our storytelling skills become rusty from lack of use.

Maybe today is the day to open the closet, reach up to the shelf, take the box down, blow the dust off the top, and open the lid. You never know what magic and stories might emerge – released like a genie from a bottle.
