Everything You Really Don’t Need To Know About Me (And More!)
"But Susan," Fatma chided, "I couldn’t find anything about YOU on your website."
I couldn’t help but laugh at Fatma’s reproach. Because almost everything on AWR is about me in some way.
I choose, write and/or edit all the content (more than 1,000 individual articles to date!). Most of it is, in one way or another, a reflection of me, my views, my quirky sense of humour, my feelings, my taste, my thoughts, my friends, and my outlook on life.
It didn’t start out that way, but that’s what it has become: my own personal, ongoing, online, evolving work of multi-media art and inspiration. (Read more about how the site was conceived here.)
It’s a place for me to virtually share stuff that motivates, saddens, angers, amuses, enlivens, encourages, enrages, and excites me, and/or touches and my life in some way. If all of that sounds terribly arrogant and self-centered, I can assure you it’s not. Because in the end, I share this stuff as much for you, as I do for me.
It’s About You Too
Whoever you are, wherever you are, whenever you read this, know that whatever is here is here for you. I was compelled to create this site, and share my stories and others’ stories, for your benefit as well as my own. And by being here, and reading this, you have engaged with something that is part of me.
We are now connected you and I, our destinies are somehow intertwined, even though we may never meet, or talk, or connect in any other way.
With that in mind, I thought you might be interested (or not lol) in the answers to a list of questions originally sent to me by my good friend Kathy in Calgary, who also apparently wanted to get to know a bit more about me!
