farmer grandpa is first customer; illusions: chapter 2, part 2
No wine this time, so this reading is a little less slurred and a little more animated LOL. I read while sitting out on my front deck under the weeping mulberry bush — maybe you can hear a hint of the breeze and a bit of a crackle when I turn the pages…
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
Chapter 2, part 2
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, by Richard Bach, is one of my four favourite books. The others are The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho (I have a signed copy), The Sirens of Titan, by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and Pookie, a children’s book by Ivy Wallace, which was read to me countless times as a child, and which, strangely enough, is uncannily like my own life story. Interestingly, all four of these books are what I would describe as fantasies.
I began reading Illusions to someone I love, someone who is not in my life as I write this (maybe just for now, maybe for this lifetime, maybe forever. Who knows how destiny will unfold?).
As I had already recorded several chapters, and was enjoying my umpteenth reading of the book, I thought why not continue to share the instalments on amazingsusan.com?
The list of readings is here.
