Q: how good would life be?
A: a whole lot gooder after you listen to the gorgeous voice of Canadian singer-songwriter Vicki Brittle.
I was recently introduced to Vicki’s music when she was on stage at a FolkusAlmonte concert singing backup vocals for Nathan Sloniowski.
The whole concert was A-mazing. It featured songs from Nathan’s wonderful new album ‘the lost love letter to a small town’ (I have already downloaded several tracks).
But when Vicki sang an acoustic version of her song ‘it’s only love,’ Kris Riendeau, editor of theHumm (who was sitting beside me) and I both found ourselves in tears.
Here’s Vicki singing and playing the tune on a grand piano:
I explored her YouTube channel and little further and found this piece that resonates with my biker heart:
And this one, the title song of her latest album, 20 somethin’, captures aspects of my long-gone misspent youth (LOL!)
I suggest you visit Vicki’s website here, listen to more of her music on YouTube, follow her on FB or, even better, all of the above!
