mountain streams with waterfalls
mountain streams with waterfalls
make us feel both big and small
from sources deep their waters spring
soon giving wing to fledgling things
tumbling, rushing, fast then slow
with hidden truths in crystal flows
cascading down the mountainside
in calming pools they sometimes bide
and feed our hearts’ and souls’ delight
from dawn ’til dusk then through the night
