juicy

Healthy eating habits produce healthy bodies and minds. And when we feel ill, good food is a great remedy. The same applies to the spirit. This poem is about that.

juicy

grab an orange
slice it quick
when you think
you might get sick

put one half
on the juicer first
to clear your mind
and quench your thirst

then take the second
’n press it hard
and to your germs
exclaim “on guard!”

drink the juice
in one fell swoop
and follow swift
with chicken soup!
