Adventure, Just for fun

a short winter loop with ana & my helmet :P

Ana had never seen snow, until she came to stay with me a few weeks ago.

The thirty-one-year-old Brazilian woman is doing an internship at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in Almonte and experiencing a cold Canadian winter for the first time. She’s enjoying it 🙂

On Saturday, she and I did a short loop (Almonte, Ashton, Perth, Middleville, Almonte) in my car. We took my helmet along just for fun. Our jaunt turned into quite the little adventure.

We stopped first at the Ashton General Store (they have the best blueberry muffins in the world and excellent freshly made coffee). We walked through the door to find ourselves on a movie set where a small crew was filming – you guessed it – a Christmas movie. It was very cool to sit and watch the movie-making while enjoying our delicious mini-brunch. I had one of the aforementioned muffins and Ana had a turkey and avocado sandwich. Both were yummy.

From there we went to Perth where we happened to park in front Queen Bee Millinery. Of course he had to go in. WOW! Ranelle the owner (and milliner) is an absolute delight and her work is pure artistry. A must visit in Perth, as is the Perth Museum across the street. Check out the pics in the Relive below.
