angels angels everywhere
Rebecca Wissink was heading out to collect eggs one winter’s day when she happened to look up. Lo and behold: a snow angel on the roof of the barn!
She took a picture, which she then shared on the Friends of Mississippi Mills Facebook page. The pic caused a poem to pop into my head; it demanded to be written (as most poems do). I asked Rebecca’s permission to pair her pic with the poem and voilà! this post was born.
During the birthing process, Rebecca and I discovered we both believe in angels who guide and protect as we walk through life. I talk to my personal angels every day. Some of them are heavenly angels. Some of them are earthbound. I’m grateful to all of them.

angels angels everywhere
angels angels
everywhere
on roofs of barns
and down the stairs
pay attention
and soon you’ll find
they are with you
all the time
they might look different
than you’d think
they could be cats
or dressed in pink
they walk in forests
sail the seas
ride the rails
and a summer breeze
they travel fast
in rain and snow
ever ready
and good to go!
if you seek them
when in need
they’re at your side
with lightening speed
they hold your hand
and hug your heart
show you how
to make new starts
they love to love
their souls are pure
they want to help
of that i’m sure
so listen up
you non-believers
count your blessings
be receivers
watch for angels
here and there
soon you’ll see them
anywhere!
