early to bed, early to ice…

 

I’d do pretty much anything to be able to ride my motorcycles (I have three, two of which are currently operational) including getting up at 5 am to ice my left ankle, which I sprained walking down the street about six weeks ago.

Rising early and taking care of the injury paid off on June 21 when I and my riding partners James A. and Adam L. rode a fantastic  RidetheHighlands loop which included stops at the The Quatermaster’s Store and Quirky Cafe in Tamworth and the Shamrock Cafe in Plevna.where we met Nuala and picked up Highlands Loop patches.

There’s one part of the loop I wouldn’t do again because of the condition of part of the road and that is the road from Vennachar to Camel Chute via Wilson. Thus:
