augusta street extension

Almonte residents in close proximity to Augusta Street Park were sent notices dated March 29, 2023, regarding the extensions of Adelaide and Augusta Streets to service a proposed development. Residents began received the notice by post on Thursday April 6, 2023.

This is a visual of my understanding of what is proposed:
Residents who received the notice have until May 1 to make objections / voice their opinions with respect to the proposal.
I live five (5) blocks from Augusta Street Park and I will be affected by the proposed extension of Augusta Street through the park. However, I did not receive a notice.
I object to the extension of Augusta Street through the park; it is unnecessary and it will adversely impact the park as well as the park’s users.
I have emailed Julie Stewart, the Lanark County planner named in the notice as follows:
If you object to Augusta Street being extended through Augusta Street Park, please send your own email to the planner with a cc to FriendsofAugustaPark@gmail.com.
